The Platform is intended to assist users with organizing information, preparing documents, and understanding general probate procedures.

However, EstatesHelp does not provide legal advice.

EstatesHelp is not a law firm and its employees are not acting as your attorneys.

Use of the Platform does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and EstatesHelp.

2. Information Is General in Nature

Information provided through the Platform is intended for general informational purposes only.

Probate laws vary by state and individual circumstances. The information provided may not apply to your specific situation.

3. Document Preparation

The Platform may generate probate documents based on the information you enter.

You are responsible for reviewing all documents before submitting them to a court. Courts may require:

EstatesHelp cannot guarantee that any document generated by the Platform will be accepted by a court.

4. Public Notices and Newspaper Publications

EstatesHelp uses Column to place public notices and generate affidavits of publication in newspapers.

EstatesHelp and Column do not provide legal advice of any kind.

You are solely responsible for:

  • the accuracy, completeness, and legality of your public notice
  • ensuring the notice complies with all applicable laws (including content, format, timing, and frequency)
  • selecting a newspaper that meets all legal requirements
  • reviewing all proofs, confirmations, and Affidavits of Publication

Neither EstatesHelp nor Column is responsible for whether a newspaper accepts, publishes, or correctly publishes your notice. We make no guarantees about the legal sufficiency of any notice or affidavit.

You should consult with a qualified attorney regarding the legal requirements for your public notice.

5. Professional Advice

You should consult a qualified professional regarding matters that may require specialized advice, including:

  • Legal advice
  • Tax advice
  • Financial planning
  • Estate litigation

6. Vendor Referrals

The Platform may provide introductions to third-party professionals who offer services related to estate administration.

These professionals are independent providers and are not employees or agents of EstatesHelp.

Any engagement between a user and a professional is solely between those parties.

7. North Carolina Legal Document Compliance

Each blank template offered to North Carolina consumers has been reviewed by a North Carolina-licensed attorney, including each and every potential part thereof that may appear in the completed document.

These forms and templates are not a substitute for the advice or services of a licensed attorney.
